Our first proper meal outside the UK, and I must say that was a pleasant change. England is a fine place, but the Brits don't place nearly as much emphasis as the Bavarians on good food. My ancestry and cultural background definitely does not match the UK in that respect, so I was very glad to be able to eat out and get an actually good food.
